World Welterweight Champion Don Jordan would travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina for a non-title fight against Luis Federico Thompson. It was the beginning of the end for Jordan. He would lose by 4th round KO to Thompson. Following that loss he would lose the title to Benny "Kid" Paret two fights later and he would lose 12 of his final 15 bouts.
