Relics Of Sport
Who We Are
Relics Of Sport is run by myself, Dave Bergin — a lifelong fan and collector of Sports Cards and Memorabilia, and located in rural Connecticut. What started as a personal passion became a mission: to connect serious collectors with authentic, meaningful pieces from sports history that deserve to be preserved and celebrated.
I started offering items from my collection on Ebay in the late 1990's, Started Pugilistica.com in the early 2000's and spun off into BoxingTreasures.com in the late 2000's.
Now it's time to see what RelicsOfSport.com can expand and evolve into for Collectors of Sports, Entertainment and Cultural History.
The Relics left behind in the sands of time, tell stories that deserve to be in the hands of collectors and family members, to continue the legacy and the history of those who came before us.
How We Source
Every item in the store has been personally hunted down. We source through estate sales, auctions, and private collections — the places where the most historically significant pieces surface. That means building real relationships over years, staying patient, and knowing when something is the genuine article.
We like to find obscure items that nobody else can, and offer them to you at a decent price...and not just superstars either. We like to find memorabilia of athletes most others have forgotten. We cater towards Genealogy Enthusiasts, Sports Memorabilia Collectors, Historians, and Researchers alike.
How We Authenticate
We stand behind everything we sell. If a piece carries our name, it's because we're confident in its provenance, its condition, and its story.
Condition Grading
We describe every item honestly. Condition grades reflect reality, not wishful thinking. We document visible wear, original packaging, and any restoration so you know exactly what you're getting before it arrives at your door. Photographs are taken in detail specifically to capture condition — we encourage you to zoom in and ask questions.
Why Collectors Trust Us
The vintage memorabilia market has more than its share of fakes and wishful provenance. We've spent years learning to spot the difference, and we put that knowledge to work for every buyer. We're collectors ourselves — we know what it means to invest in a piece you care about, and we treat every transaction accordingly.
If you have questions about any item, its history, or how it was graded, reach out. We love talking about this stuff, and we'd rather spend ten minutes answering your questions than have you walk away uncertain.
