Legendary Australian Middleweight contender. Beat stiff competition in his native Australia but unfortunately passed away before he could secure any big fights in the U.S. at the young age of 21.
Vintage sepia-toned earlier 2nd generation photograph. Hand-dated February, 13, 1949 on the back. From the Al Grayber / Harry Pegg collection. Possibly used for publication in one of Pegg's early "Veteran Boxer" magazines.
On heavier matte photo paper stock.
